The Prime Minister yesterday announced a major shake-up of the UK immigration rules, in order to attract “the very best minds from around the world.”
Continuing uncertainty surrounding the implications of Brexit has significantly reduced the steady flow of skilled EU workers that the UK used to receive. This shortfall has been exacerbated by an immigration policy seen by many to be unwelcoming and restrictive, and challenging and protracted application processes.
