Dispute Resolution/Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Our dispute resolution team is always busy and is well-established and highly regarded in the market.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking paralegal to join us in our London office, working alongside a partner, a solicitor and a secretary. This is a permanent, full-time role and is initially office-based, although some hybrid working may be possible after probation (3 months).

The successful candidate will have a law degree or appropriate legal qualification, together with a real interest in this area of legal work and a desire to progress in this field, together with former experience as a paralegal in a legal environment and within a dispute resolution team.

You will need to be highly organised and pragmatic, with strong communication and inter-personal skills. A positive, team-focussed approach and flexible attitude is important and you will also be self-confident and adaptable, as you will be supporting a partner and you will have plenty of responsibility, including in due course your own fee-earning target, as well as assisting elsewhere in the team, as necessary.

Our London office is friendly, diverse and centrally-located, in Holborn. We offer a salary at market rate with the opportunity to work to a bonus-linked target, depending on your skills and the extent of your previous experience.

Legal Secretary - Dispute Resolution

We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our busy & friendly Dispute Resolution department in central Brighton.

You will be supporting a small team, alongside another part-time legal secretary, dealing with a range of client-focussed secretarial and administrative tasks. You will assist partners with a range of administrative tasks, to include monthly billing and file management.

You will have previous legal secretarial experience, ideally in a dispute resolution/commercial litigation team, but we will consider experience gained in other legal areas. 

You will also have:

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of how your role contributes to the success of the business;
  • Experience of legal billing, with a good standard of numeracy;
  • Good IT skills and fast, accurate typing, including audio;
  • Good administrative and time management skills;
  • Strong written and spoken English & excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A proactive and responsible team approach;
  • A flexible and adaptable style & willingness to develop and adapt to changing business needs;
  • A professional, confident approach to work.

We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.

This is a full-time, office-based role and salary is at market rate.
