We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our busy residential real estate team in our central London office.

Enthusiastic & hard working, you will be assisting a team of qualified fee-earners in the running of live files, in addition to supporting all aspects of conveyancing transactions, from instructions through to post completion. The work involves liaising with all parties and providing administrative assistance throughout the conveyancing process.

Previous conveyancing experience in a legal environment is essential for this role and you should ideally also have appropriate legal qualifications. We offer support for different routes to qualification for successful paralegals and significant developmental opportunities.

You must be confident and competent to work to timescales, able to use your initiative, be commercially aware and have strong inter-personal skills. A team approach and flexibility are vital, as is self confidence in talking to clients on the phone.

This is a full-time role. Some hybrid working may be possible after a three month probationary period and appropriate training.

Duties will include:

  • File opening
  • AML compliance
  • Dealing with administrative exchange formalities completion and post completion tasks
  • Drafting financial statements and invoices
  • Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms
  • Archiving
  • General administration tasks and the updating of internal and external systems
  • You will also have client contact, with supervision.

We are seeking a full time Private Client solicitor/CIlex with a minimum of two years’ post qualification experience, to join the Private Client department in our friendly and diverse centrally-located Brighton office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in taking client instructions, drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and dealing with the administration of estates. Experience in Court of Protection work would be an advantage, although not essential.

You will:

  • Draft Wills and draft/register Lasting Powers of Attorney, including dealing with more complex estates and Wills;
  • Manage the administration of estates with limited supervision (including drafting forms to account to HMRC);
  • Draft accounts for estates;
  • Have experience in dealing with Court of Protection work;
  • Manage your own cases in your own name.

You will be joining a small, supportive team, led by a partner.

We are flexible in our approach to working practices and while some office-based work is necessary, due to the nature of our work, we will also consider reasonable hybrid working arrangements.
