Healys LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrei Baev as Partner, the Head of the Energy and Infrastructure Department and the Head of Russia/CIS desk.With an impressive track record in international project finance transactions and international joint ventures, Andrei has over 25 years' experience in the development and financing of cross-border pipeline projects, independent power projects, nuclear power plants, oil and gas upstream and downstream projects, mining and infrastructure projects around the world representing oil and gas companies, energy companies, natural resources companies, governments, global investment and commercial banks, multilaterals, export-credit agencies, construction companies and high-net-worth investors. Past clients include Gazprom, Rosatom, RusHydro, Inter RAO UES, TNK-BP, Tatneft, Lukoil, Kazakhmys, IFC, EBRD, IADB, US EXIM Bank, Governments of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. At the request of his clients, Andrei has also served as the President and CEO of a start-up manufacturing company in Houston, Texas (USA) where he worked with top US oil & gas companies.Andrei holds law degrees from Stanford University Law School, UCLA and Sverdlovsk Law Institute (Russia), as well as a join executive business degree from Said Business School (Oxford University) and HEC (Paris). Prior to joining Healys, Andrei Baev held senior partnership positions at large US and UK international law firms in London, New York and Moscow.
