We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Paralegal to join our busy residential real estate team in London.
You will be assisting a solicitor in the running of live files, in addition to supporting them in all aspects of conveyancing transactions, from instructions through to post completion. The work involves liaising with all parties and providing administrative assistance throughout the conveyancing process.
Previous conveyancing experience in a legal environment is essential for this role and you should ideally have a law degree.
You must be confident and sufficiently competent to work to timescales, able to use your initiative, be commercially aware and have good inter-personal skills. A team approach and flexibility are vital.
This is a full-time role and some hybrid working may be possible, after probation and appropriate training.
Duties will include:
- File opening
- AML compliance
- Dealing with administrative exchange formalities completion and post completion tasks
- Drafting financial statements and invoices
- Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms
- Archiving
- General administration tasks and the updating of internal and external systems
You will also have client contact, with supervision.

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Legal Cashier to join the busy finance team in our friendly and diverse centrally-located office in Brighton.
You will have extensive experience in legal accounts and be an effective team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a self-motivated and organised approach to your work.
While we will be reallocating responsibilities across our finance team of five, we are seeking a new team member who has strong experience in the key areas of client and office accounts and purchase ledger. Bearing this in mind - and while the final role may differ from the below, depending on your area of expertise - you may potentially be responsible for:
- Managing client accounts and ensuring compliance with SRA rules;
- Monitoring and advertising daily client funds, from the banking system for all electronic payments (CHAPS, BACs and FPS);
- Processing payments, receipts & transfers, manual cheques and/or cash banking;
- Posting expenses - fees, travel etc.;
- ‘Infotrack’ & Land Registry invoices;
- Other daily administrative duties.
You must have current knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Experience of ‘Indigo’ is preferred, but is not essential.
Ideally you will be available to start as soon as possible and live within easy reach of our Brighton office. We offer non contractual hybrid working on completion of your first 3 months and salary at market rate, depending on experience.

We have a vacancy for a legal secretary/administrator in the Private Client team in our busy, friendly and diverse central London office.
You will cover a range of secretarial and administrative work, to include dealing with correspondence and documents, opening and closing files, archiving, updating records/databases and assisting with financial and diary management. As an initial point of contact for new enquiries, you will also liaise with clients and set up meetings. You will coordinate business development & team meetings and help with marketing events.
You will have had previous experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of - and a real interest in - Private Client work.
In addition to keyboard skills you will have had experience dealing with clients, have good interpersonal skills, a professional and flexible approach to your work and a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
This is primarily a secretarial and admin role and is not suitable for recent law graduates, paralegals, or for anyone seeking to progress to qualification as a solicitor.
