Real estate developments
We understand that no two projects are the same, that’s why we take a flexible and responsive approach to drive your project forward. Our team will work closely with you throughout the development process and be on hand to provide its experience and expertise of many years of working with developers.
We can provide expert and specific guidance in formulating land buying strategies, drafting construction contracts, drafting development agreements, options, overage, promotion agreements and ultimately arranging sales. We have also developed reliable strategic relationships with property service providers. These include major estate agents, valuers, surveyors, mortgage brokers, IFA’s, lending institutions and sales offices for major sites in the UK.
Real estate finance & secured lending
We have the expertise in dealing with all matters for real estate finance and secured lending. We are appointed by clearing banks and merchant banks to ensure that they obtain good security over a particular borrower’s selected assets. Lenders are of course looking for a watertight security but they are also looking for Lawyers to act swiftly in order to protect their relationship with their own client, the borrower.
We seek to preserve that relationship by ensuring speed of response, excellent organisation, a commercial approach and certainty of costs. We have a particular expertise in lending to borrowers who are based outside the UK, including companies based in the BVI and the Channel Islands. Our well-established links with foreign Lawyers, means that we can manage this element without adversely affecting the required timeline. We understand the need to meet the lender’s audit requirements and internal processes at all stages in the transaction including post completion.
Real estate disputes
We can advise individuals and companies irrespective of whether they own and occupy the property, occupy it as tenant or own and let it out to tenants. This expertise affords the team an invaluable insight into each element of a property dispute. We provide clear, creative and pragmatic advice which is geared to the protection of your interest and the swift resolution of disputes.
Our experienced litigators and negotiators aim not to end up in a lengthy and costly court case. We always seek an alternative solution to your case and we regularly conduct mediations, arbitrations and other dispute resolutions alternatives. But when the only course of action is litigation then our specialised team will be able to get the right result your case deserves.
Real estate construction
We offer both commercial and contentious services under one roof. We regularly advise institutions, developers, investors, public authorities and contractors to enable them to deliver on their projects as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Our team is on hand to advise on all aspects of the construction process, from inception to completion, to resolve any issues as they arise. This can involve drafting and negotiating construction documents, provisions to advising procurement issues and guiding you through formal and informal dispute resolution procedures. We offer our services and advice on a global scale and assist on multiple site projects through our international network.
Real estate planning
We are able to advise property developers, institutional investors, occupiers and those affected by compulsory orders on a range of matters that include; complex planning applications; drafting, negotiating and agreeing planning, highways and environmental infrastructure agreements; appeals and high court challenges; enforcement actions and issues affecting listed building.

Our team members have experience acting in senior in-house legal roles at 3 multi-national hotel companies, and we act for hotel operators, restaurants, pubs, suppliers and service providers. With our extensive industry experience and wide range of contacts, we regularly network people together, provide assistance structuring and concluding deals and will work with you to help your business become more robust and profitable.

We have extensive experience from working with clients who have invested into various funds, providing innovative solutions to complex fund structures that meet commercial objectives. We work for a wide range of clients, both domestic and overseas, and provide advice on acquiring, financing and disposing of a myriad of portfolio investments, independently or through joint ventures with developers, public companies, REITs and other real estate investment funds.
