Christopher Clue
Christopher has significant experience in providing advice relating to injunctions, serving proceedings against Defendants who reside out of jurisdiction, TOLATA claims, boundary disputes, easement and covenant disputes, right of way disputes, Landlord and Tenant issues for both residential and commercial properties, along with personal and commercial debt recovery.
Although Christopher acts in a range of property disputes, he has specific interest and expertise in obtaining injunctive relief relating to issues arising from property development, debt and nuisance.
His recent case, McGee v Cave [2023] EWHC 2718 (Ch), Christopher successfully obtained both prohibitory and mandatory injunctive relief at the interim stage against a developer requiring them to remove the partially built extension over his clients right of way, and preventing further development of the land being undertaken. This case has been reported as an important authority for parties now seeking interim mandatory injunctive relief.
An extremely competent litigator who consistently acts for clients in the High Court, County Court and the First Tier Land Tribunals. He provides down to earth pragmatic advice, whilst maintaining a commercial awareness when resolving disputes. He was recently described by a client as taking them 'from depression to optimism'.
Although junior in qualified years, Christopher has experience far beyond these. He has completed his Chartered Institute of Legal Executive exams and is on track to be admitted into the institute in August 2024.
