Leading law firm, Healys LLP, are delighted to announce that they have teamed up with national accountants Kingston Smith LLP to be part of Brighton's Pride Parade, which takes place on Saturday 3rd August 2019.Healys LLP and Kingston Smith LLP are extremely excited to be participating in the Pride Parade 2019 and to have this opportunity to publicly celebrate equality and diversity. The Brighton Pride Festival is the biggest and best Pride event in the UK. This year's festival has already raised over 700,000 towards achieving an equal and diverse playing field for all. 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Inn uprising that ignited the Pride movement, and the theme for this year's parade is 'Generations of Love - Celebrating 50 years of campaigning with Pride'. With this in mind, Healys & Kingston Smith have collaborated to celebrate the 1960s; spectators can expect bright colours, big hair and some flower power!Additionally, Healys LLP and Kingston Smith LLP are using Pride as an opportunity to promote the fact that as firms and individuals, they are 'more than a suit'.To promote this collaborative theme of 'more than a suit', staff walking in the parade will wear something to showcase 'who they are' - the people behind the suit; the marathon runners, scuba divers, dancers, drag queens, lovers, hippies and more!Healys Chairman, John Healy, comments:

"As modern corporate organisations with high standards, we appreciate that our teams have worked exceptionally hard to get to their positions. Each team member has their own story and individuality. This is something both organisations embrace and we think that Pride is the perfect platform to give our employees the opportunity to celebrate this."Additionally, we are aware that the LGBTQ+ community may struggle with their identity in the workplace and in some instances, can be subjected to bullying and mistreatment."As leading firms in our sectors, we are here to show that no matter who you are, we are inclusive and we celebrate all culture, religion, sexuality and everything else that makes a person who they are.We believe all businesses should embrace all the different aspects of their people and that this is something that should not be hidden. It should be celebrated and we are much stronger businesses for this."
