Leading media lawyer and media partner at Healys LLP, Nicholas Taylor recently joined the Development Board of animal charity Helping Rhinos.

The charity supports the work of the anti-poaching teams in South Africa.

Rhino horn is a highly valued commodity product for criminal syndicates who seek to sell the keratin-rich product for extortionate prices in the predominantly Asian marketplace.

Helping Rhinos and its affiliate charities raise awareness of this illegal trade in destination markets such as China and Vietnam, and predominantly to protect the rhinos in their natural habitat.

The organisation was founded by former Business Development Director at American Express, Simon Jones in March 2012. After yearly trips to the game reserves of Southern and East Africa, he decided to take action to support a species in decline.

In addition to being recognised as a leading practitioner in his field, Media Partner, Nicholas Taylor, is an advocate for animal welfare. He has dedicated many years to supporting a variety of animal rights campaigns. Nicholas was extremely pleased to be invited to the development board and is looking forward to working on initiatives that will help the prevention of more rhinos becoming victims to animal poaching.

Nicholas Taylor said:

“Protecting rhinos from the horrors of poaching and preserving this rapidly declining species for future generations is something I care deeply about. It is an honour to join this board and work with Helping Rhinos to support this important cause. I look forward to working with Simon and the team to help more rhinos live safely in their natural habitat.”

Nicholas recently signed up to be a Rhino Champion of the Helping Rhinos campaign, 'Rhinos Under Attack - Help us Defend Them', which aims to protect some of the world’s most critically endangered populations of rhino.

Collectively Nicholas and the team have 3 days to raise at least £100,000 to help rhinos face a brighter future. You can support this campaign and the rhinos by making a donation to Nicholas’s fundraising page here: https://charityextra.com/rhinosunderattack/nicholas-taylor.
