Healys LLP will be hosting a virtual webinar and networking event to explore what your business needs to know in relation to the recent introduction of The Register of Overseas Entities.The Register of Overseas Entities, which is held by Companies House, came into force on 1st August and requires overseas entities that own land or property in the United Kingdom to declare their beneficial owners and/or managing directors.It was introduced by the government to increase transparency in the ownership of property and deter foreign criminals using UK property to launder money.The Register of Overseas Entities requires overseas owners of UK property to declare their identities to help prevent criminals from hiding behind secretive chains of shell companies, and to support an international standard for transparency.Healys LLP are hosting a virtual event to support businesses in understanding how this register may affect you and what you need to consider to make sure your business is compliant with this new legislation.
