The 2nd and 3rd stages of the Mille Miglia 2022 took place on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th June.

Day 2

With only a few hours' sleep to recover from the exertions of the first day, our classic car specialist Clive Robertson and more than 400 other competitors set off this morning on the second leg of the iconic Mille Miglia. After leaving Cervia-Milano on the Adriatic coast, the route included a detour to Forlì followed by a climb to San Marino; concluding with a near 500km drive to the capital city of Rome, and a parade along Via Veneto. We are pleased to report that Clive and navigator Sarah Porter safely reached Rome earlier this evening - and are very much still in the race!

Day 3

Day 3 of the Mille Miglia is the longest leg of the race and takes the form of a formidable drive from Rome to Parma. With a quick polish-up of the AC Aceca-Bristol, Clive and Sarah made an early start and began the 600km journey northwards.Departing from Rome in the morning, the day's route saw competitors travel towards Ronciglione via Lake Vico and Lake Bolsena, before arriving in Siena around lunchtime. A highlight of the day for many, the Piazza Del Campo provided an extraordinary welcome for the drivers, with the Palio delle Contrade temporarily transformed into a spectacular display of the iconic cars taking part. After a well-earned break for the race crews, competitors continued on their journey north, passing through Viareggio and Pontdera, before finally arriving in Parma, and concluding the arduous 3rd leg of the race.
