David Bailey, partner and head of Healys Dispute Resolution and Banking & Finance, recently took part in Ironman Italy, completing the race in 12 hours, 8 minutes!Ironman Italy is an annual event which takes place in the coastal Emilia-Romagna region, along the Adriatic Sea. The gruelling race includes a 180 km cycling element, a 42 km running course, and a 3.8 km swim.David is a regular participant in marathons and triathlons. In undertaking his biggest challenge yet, he is also raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, and has so far raised over �1000.David said: "Competing in my first Ironman was an amazing experience, after all that training and battling through the hardships of the day there is nothing like crossing the finish line to hear those words "DAVID, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN". Throughout the day I reminded myself that my pain and suffering was my choice - not everyone has that choice. Some people have their suffering forced upon them.
