In partnership with

Robert Johnson and the Professional Negligence team at Healys act for a variety of clients against a variety of professionals on a variety of different types of claims. The professionals against which we most frequently pursue claims are solicitors, accountants, surveyors, architects and estate agents

This article summarises the type of claims that we have pursued against Builders and Project Managers. We shall be publishing similar articles in respect of the other professionals in the coming weeks.

Mismanagement of a project

Claim against a project manager by his contractor/our client arising from his failure to act with reasonable skill and care when carrying out his duties to our client when in charge of various building projects, to include in relation to management of safety, ordering materials, identifying suitable sub-contractors and/or obtaining the necessary certificates/guarantees.

Home Renovation

A claim arose from incomplete and poor work from builders in relation to the renovation of a family home. Significant delays to the build process were caused by the builders and their subcontractors. At the time the clients were living in rented accommodation and as a result of the delays were forced to put their belongings into storage and find further alternative accommodation. 2 months after the required completion date the clients cancelled the contract and hired alternative builders who had to rectify much of the poor work done.

Water Damage

Claim against builders for negligent work which resulted in extensive water damage to rented properties.
